Canadian broadcast giant, CHUM Limited, has signed an exclusive three-year contract to purchase its BitScream and DIVArchive products for CHUM Television. The contract also includes purchase of Front Porch Professional Services to develop customized functionality to meet CHUM broadcast workflow needs.

Front Porch Digital's DIVArchive fits CHUM's unique requirements in its ability to manage a diverse and complex storage environment that includes a combination of disk, jukebox and robotic tape libraries. The company's BitScream transcoder satisfies CHUM's stringent interoperability needs to share content among video servers and edit systems. Existing tight integration of these products with CHUM's choice of asset management software will resolve difficult systems issues.
