NASCAR Media Group, which provides production services and content generation for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, has selected Front Porch Digital’s DIVArchive to manage storage of incoming footage as well as an irreplaceable archive containing more than 50,000 hours of NASCAR film and video, some dating as far back as 1948 when NASCAR was founded. The Front Porch solution will underpin transition to a tapeless workflow to be completed in time for NASCAR Media Group’s move in 2009 from its current Charlotte, N.C., facility to the tower of the NASCAR Plaza, now under construction in the same city.
